Fall Fun (Part Two)

I guess I should've done this backwards, with Part 1 last so it would be pretty and chronological when it went into blog format. Oh well. These pictures pick up the evening of our Mountain/Mercier Orchard adventure. Back in Chattanooga, Fisher decided to try his hand at begging...

Creative Discovery Museum

Can I just brag a bit? We would go from one activity to the next, and the adults would say, "Oh I heard about his costume! I love it!" We were a hit...even with a mildly fussy toddler.

Of course, it doesn't matter if the girl is stone or flesh, he will flirt.

The pictures in between (of the actual inside of the CDM) were taken on our phones.

Don't ask why. I have no idea. I will add them later...but look forward to some great pics of Fisher chillin' in the 100 Acre Woods!

With all the apples he ate today, he can have a tinsy little marshmallow.

The next weekend we went to Mayfield Dairy Farm's Corn Maze and Fall Festival.

We jumped across hay bales, rode "tractors," walked through the maze, played in the corn kernals, looked at the bees, went on a hayride to the (real) pumpkin patch, played in the sand, "milked" cows, played with a wooden cow, played cornhole, and hung out around the fire with Michael Mayfield. I'm sure I'm missing some activities, but I can't remember. We (especially Fisher) had a blast with each and every activity.

Then Saturday we went to Boo in the Zoo, where Fisher was an astronaut. This outfit was bought in DC for fun and dress up. As for Halloweens, I had seen astronauts the week before at the Creative Discovery Museum. But you wouldn't know it at the zoo. EVERYWHERE we went, Fisher the astronaut was a hit. They all said how cute he was and that they hadn't seen the costume before! Love it! The pictures from this weekend are on our phones, so they will have to be added later too.

Skip ahead to the last weekend in October. Grandma and Papa came to visit for the annual Halloween Bonfire & Cookout on SugarPlum Lane. Friday we went to Aqua-scarium at the TN Aquarium. It was cold, and Nana had bought him a monster dragon costume that fit the weather perfectly. I also think it looks like he could be related to Stitch...which is what I think I'm dealing with some days!

ALSO, IF YOU ARE WONDERING HOW WE, ON ONE MEASLY LITTLE INCOME, CAN AFFORD TO GO TO THE CREATIVE DISCOVERY MUSEUM, THE ZOO, AND THE AQUARIUM....I'LL LET YOU IN ON A SECRET THAT SHOULD NOT BE A SECRET. EVERYONE SHOULD DO IT. We ask for memberships to each place for our Christmas presents from our parents (the grandparents). The idea was to cut down on the massive toy influx while injecting plenty of ways to create quality time...and it worked! Fisher can practically give tours of any of the places!

Fall Fun (Part One)

So this technically was in July, but it is something we love to do,

and just haven't taken many pictures of it lately.

It is also a picture of the night I figured out he was allergic to eggs

(no suprise here since he has eczema and they're linked).

September: This is what most of our "hot" days are like.

He loves these beads, his trucks and books.

His day is basically a rotation of the three!

October: This month is stuffed FULL with fun things! Here are a few pictures!

Pics from Fisher's First Birthday!

I decided to do a 'primary colors' theme. I have no idea why. It was just one of those obsessions that blindsides you in the aisles of Hobby Lobby. I think it is a good idea since I can use it for YEARS and for different genders, with a few adjustments.

When Sleeping Beauty woke up (it was a short nap), we opened presents!

He did so well, and Loved Everything!!!

About half-way through he had to take a break

THEN it was time for cake!!! We LOVE Chattanooga Cupcakes!

Fisher's favorite flavor is chocolate

(because he usually gets to share Mommy's...and what Mom in their right mind would NOT choose chocolate!!!)

No Worries....He soon realized it was chocolate!

After a quick intermission to shower off the chocolate explosion, playtime again!
